A Passion For… Holiday Workshops are our exciting and pioneering courses that will be running at nearly 70 of our venues this year! 2012 Courses include A Passion For…The Stage, Dance, Food, Invention & Creativity. The programmes are written by our team of experts and are designed to bring the most out of children and teenagers aged 6-16.
As an A Passion For… Course Leader you will be responsible for leading the workshop and may also be required to support a small team of quality, enthusiastic staff. You will report to the Site Manager and with guidance take a lead in running the day to day operations of the week long workshops, description of responsibilities as follows:
* Ensure you and your team adhere to processes and procedures whilst the children in your care continually have a fun, stimulating and safe time
* Utilise your background to bring the programme topic to life with lots of fun in the process
* With support and guidance from your Site Manager liaise with parents regarding the needs of children and feedback on any issues which arise
* Support the Site Manager during sign in/out of children and other adhoc duties as required
* Continually show respect for your Host site by ensuring cleanliness and safety at all times
Requirements
* Ideally you will be a qualified or trainee teacher in a relevant subject (i.e. Performing Arts, Drama, Art, Food Technology, IT, Engineering), although non-teachers with suitable experience will be considered
* Experience working with children and young people
* Hold a first aid qualification (Ideally)
* Enthusiastic and organised with excellent communication skills and good use of initiative
* Flexible, team player willing to take on various tasks as required
If selected you will be required to attend a training day covering; A Passion For…ethos, policies and procedures and structure of the day.
Pay: £300 – £400 per week (depending on qualifications and experience)
Hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm (Tuesday to Friday) 7.30 – 5.30pm (Mondays)
Location/duration: Temporary contracts at various sites within a region – up to 5 weeks work
On appointment all staff will be expected to complete a CRB disclosure and supply us with references
